Álvaro Obregón Avenue

In this route remains captured the last illusion of almost three decades period known like porfiriato, called for corresponding with the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz.

On the wide ridge of this avenue there are replies of sculptures as Milo's Venus, the Discóbolo and Baco of Miguel Angel, and also many other work of Mexican sculptors as Venus and The love, of Gabriel Guerra.

Along the avenue there are impressive mansions of eclectic architecture, style in which there are mixed Gothic, Arab and Renaissance elements that cause peculiar constructions.

After years of abandonment some of these houses have been restored and turned into cultural centers. There is also a hall of second-hand bookstores with really attractive offers.

 

La Cibeles

Copy of sculpture in Madrid, located in the square of the same name. Here it is a good place to take any of two routes of the Turibus.
